Ashley Keister is a multi-disciplinary artist from Baltimore, Maryland. This year she earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts at The Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in General Fine Arts. Her most recent body of work, Writing Home in Red was shown at the Maryland Institute College of Art’s annual ArtWalk. The series explores themes of young adulthood and identity set against the backdrop of Baltimore City, and uses red as a motif to portray intensity and surrealism. Her work contemplates themes of girlhood, self expression, connection. She has also displayed work in multiple group exhibitions such as Visart's Next Gen 10, MICA's Juried Exhibition, and in Night Owl Gallery's BREAKOUT: G2G Again. Since earning her degree she has been living and working in Baltimore City.
